As Excel Waste’s most popular skip hire, this seemingly compact 8 yard skip boasts a surprising capacity. With the compact size of 11 x 5.5 x 4ft (3.35 x 1.67 x 1.21m), our 8 yard skip can hold approximately 80 bin bags of rubbish and rubble, equivalent to around 25 wheelie bins.

Skip hire includes delivery, collection and up to 14 days hire. If you need to keep it longer, Excel Waste reserves the right to charge £50 per week after the first 14 days. The maximum rental period with no movement is one month, after which the skip will be collected.
The 8 yard skip is suitable for substantial home projects, renovations and clearances, and can take general non-hazardous rubbish and rubble. It holds around 80 bin bags, or roughly 25 wheelie bins. Hazardous items cannot go in the skip. This includes TVs, computer monitors, asbestos, tyres, fluorescent tubes, fridges and freezers, paint or paint tins unless empty, batteries, medical waste, gas cylinders, liquids, solvents, oil, petrol, diesel and explosives. Plasterboard also cannot be mixed with general waste. If you are unsure about an item, call the team before booking.
If a skip is placed on private land, such as a driveway, you will not usually need a permit. For this skip size, on-road permits are not available because 8 yard skips and larger are not allowed on roads. Please contact Excel Waste if you need clarification before booking.

If you need the skip for longer than the included 14 days, contact Excel Waste as soon as possible. Extra hire may be charged at £50 per week after 14 days. The maximum rental period with no movement is one month, after which the skip will be collected.
